Hmmm, coming up with musical styles is almost as fun as coming up with the albums!
Ive's: I'm getting a strong
jam band feel from the artist name and trippy album title. Maybe some local act from Vermont (which won't mean much to anyone if you've never seen our local hippy music scene around here).
Mine: Tough call. Maybe a confessional, model-turned-musician album? Something along the lines of Milla Jovavich or Carla Bruni?
Jess': This definitely says "earnest singer-songwriter" to me. I would guess tasteful adult folk album on Rounder Records, or perhaps an americana release like Cowboy Junkies. Perhaps even a country crossover disc like Emmylou Harris? It does have horses on it after all.
Sean's: First of all, what a perfect mix of band name and album title! As for the music therein, judging from the gritty urban photo I have to say rock. I'm thinking a UK hard rock act, perhaps even a side project of some successful 1990s dude, like one of the Oasis or Blur guys.
Jason C-M's: I'll go with alternative rock on this one, though the band name suggests they have a sense of humor or at least an artsy side. So I'm going to say they throw some modern psychedelia and electronics into the mix.
JCM's daughter's: Japanese hip hop!
