My local comic book shop owner told me that most mainstream monthly titles will be moving to $3.49 to $3.99 within the year.

Anyone else heard this?

I haven't heard that. I guess that'll put them up over $5 here.

Scott Pilgrim 4 did not disappoint even a little. I got a little concerned with the drama that was in it but it got resolved very beautifully.

Okay... I've just heard about "Scott Pilgrim"... what's the best volume to start with? Or should I just begin w/volume #1.

I think his Zero Hour special was a better place to start.

Oh B.P.R.D.!!!!

The Killing Ground 5 issue story arc just "ended" (what a cliff hanger!) !! Next month they're going to start B.P.R.D. 1946 and we don't get to find out what happens after Killing Ground untill... June!!??

This is my favorite comic by far.
I love that the writing follows a consecutive story line & each arc has reprecusions. I love everything about it. I just simply can't get enough of it.

Yeah, i know a guy at the comic shop who is only buying the trades too, but man, I can't wait that long! It's todaly designed to deliver monthly cliffhangers too. I like buying it monthly, but I'll prolly buy the trades too at some point.

Also, I agree Lobster Jhonson is pretty damn awesome. Darwyn Cooke's The Sprit had a nice run too.

-Booster Gold #5
This title has been super fun for me though this issue has some serious beatdowns thrown in. The whole issue is about traveling back to The Killing Joke book and some panels look like the original Bolland drawn ones. It is an okay idea but it felt a bit gross.
-Countdown: Arena #2
This time Green Lanterns were fighting Green Lanterns and Supermans were fighting Supermans. This book is ridiculous.
-Countdown: Red Son #1
I really liked the Red Son miniseries but why aren't ideas allowed to be used only once anymore? This book added nothing good to either of the stories it's a part of.
-Fantastic Four #552
This shot down all the interesting parts of the issue before it. It went from setting up that bad shit is going to happen in the future to revealing it was all made up. The art is so nice and clean it's boring.
-Green Arrow/Black Canary #3
I love this book. The art is perfect. The stories are good fun adventure but ruined with a lame cliffhanger where the story ends then the same thing happens but with a different character.
-New Avengers #37
I love this Hood stuff going on! I dig the art in this too. My big problem in this book is I wish Spider-Man would shut the fuck up. I do not mind wisecracking but here he is like the worst comedian you know and he doesn't stop.
-Punisher War Journal #14
This is silly! I don't know anything about Kraven the Hunter, was he always about hunting the characters that have animal names? That is pretty cool.
-Ultimate Iron Man II #1
Ultimate Iron Man can grow his arms back and has a bad haircut and no moustache. Everyone thinks he is a robot though so I guess that's cool.
-Wonder Woman #15
I like this book! Nazis and gorillas!
