hi guys,
hope no-one minds if i join in the fun here...

um, i'm thinking seriously about getting a proper, regular webcomic going. i've posted comics on lj before, but this time i'm thinking of taking it a step further -- so i'm thinking about getting a webcomicsnation site, or drunk duck, or whatever. comicpress? i dunno -- that's what i'm here for, really, to pick you guys' brains on what the best hosting service might be.

looking around, i've been thinking about wcn -- it seems to have its shit together, and i like certain features it's got. what i'm not so keen on is the actual design of the page.
comicpress seems like a good option too. i prefer the layout. is it free?
i don't particularly want to pay for hosting, unless there's a deal that's good value and really worth it for additional features.

any input would be gratefully received. cheers.

WCN will do the actual hosting, while Comicspress won't.

WCN is just plug in the stuff and go, while Comicspress will need setting up and website hosting.

So it just depends how much work you want to do, I guess.

I find WCN to be pretty straightforward for updating and stuff. And then also, it is sort of floating around there for people to stumble across. I think there is quite a bit of customizing you can do with the look of the page (though I have been much too lazy to investigate).

Haha, most people call me Grug, the rest call me Robert (my real name), but it doesn't matter to me. The confusion is all my fault anyway. :P

Grug is an international man of mystery. He travels under many aliases. 'Round these parts, we call him Grug.
