I really liked the Red Son miniseries but why aren't ideas allowed to be used only once anymore? This book added nothing good to either of the stories it's a part of.

No comic stores in Turkey! I have the TPB of Red Son somewhere in storage and I thought it was OK though the ending was pretty crap. What are they doing with the idea here?

Meh. It turns out all of those Elseworlds books happened on different earths and The Atom is on one of them so some heroes are visiting the earths looking for him. So it is modern Donna Troy and Kyle Rayner fighting soviet Superman and Wonder Woman.

Yeah, after reading in a recent DC comic what all the new earths would be... it all sounded sorta lazy to me.

I love this Hood stuff going on! I dig the art in this too. My big problem in this book is I wish Spider-Man would shut the fuck up. I do not mind wisecracking but here he is like the worst comedian you know and he doesn't stop.

That's because Brian Bendis doesn't know when to stop. He needs pushier editors.

DC is really doing it's best to make me stay away from their comics lately.

Yes. I love Leinil Yu. I guess he is going to be doing the Secret Invasion or somesuch book, whatever the main book of the new skrull biz. That is some hot shit. My big beef with this issue is how Bulldozer got almost 100% of the pummelage in the fight! Kicked in the gut by Luke Cage, shanked in the gut by wolverine, then 2 panels later, punched in the gut by Iron Fist.

Poor Bulldozer's gut.

Yesterday I got a package of trades I ordered from kinokuniya because they were having a big 20% off sale, AND they are the cheapest book store I've ever been to already.

The main reason for the order was to get this book:

(issues 1-25 of the current Cap series, plus some specials and extras. Awesome! And I got it for, like $60, when it's over a hundred here on shelf!)

And while I was at it I ordered Lat's Town Boy (Kampung Boy was amazing), the next book of Grant Morisson's New X-Men that I was up to and one of the Decemation X-Men books.

I really enjoyed Kampung Boy. My dad is from Malaysia, and I picked up a copy of it for him for Christmas and had it signed by Lat when I met him in October. Looking ofrward to Town Boy when I get a chance.

I keep thinking about picking this up when I see it at our shop, but I haven't.

Should I?
