-- sorry to hear about that, Jason.

weekend plans are not going well . . . . But

has been pretty good. Watched a couple episodes of "Foyle's War" which is a detective show set in Britain during WWII. The female lead is just cute as a button. It's partly the character, partly the actress, but Ellen and I just couldn't stop talking about how cute she was. Then it turns out the actresses name is Honeysuckle Weeks, which is just too cute to be believed.
I think Ellen felt a bit one-upped by Miss Weeks' parents, as she considers herself queen of the cute girl names (amongst our daughters middle names you will find sunshine and valentine).

I painted all day yesterday. It was awesome. I met a buddy for a matinee showing of Brave, and he kinda flattered me about yesterday's paintings, so I feel all fluffed up now. Plus, got to see Brave again, which is a simple gorgeous film.
I've now seen it in 2- and 3- D. There's one shot in 3-D which is a huge environment shot of the girl climbing a cliff, and in 3-D she somehow looked like a tiny doll on a modest rock face, but in 2-D she looks like a normal-size-person on a huge cliff. Weird.
There's still an aspect of the scripting I'm not in love with, but I've developed an increase appreciation for a tightness of the rest of the story I hadn't previously appreciated. A deceptively large number of narrative elements are drawn together quite elegantly in the end.
In other news, I am drinking rum right now, and have a decent little buzz, and I feel Faaaaaaaantastic.
