Nina's work is celebrating Cinco de Mayo by serving doughnuts and hotdogs for lunch. Yeah, she doesn't get it either.

Two days to go!

I need to buy some furniture soon. I trashed a bookcase and entertainment centre before I moved and need to get something to put my stereo and books back into. Time for an Ikea run! With Nina and I sharing a home now, I don't know where to put a bookcase! There's a piano where I'd put a bookcase now.

Between the coffee and excitement about my impending vacation, I am having trouble sitting still.

Recently I have been making chicken with sesame oil, tamari and whatever else I feel like at the time and called it "Vague Asian Chicken" which then became Vacation Chicken.


One of the many things I don't miss about working at the Foodhole is making signs for holidays no one celebrates here, like Cinco de Mayo.


Can you put books in the piano?

Man that has been the theme of my week. Manien has this vision of getting one of those deep freezers for our storage room, and that means we have to clear some stuff out. So I have been going through boxes and boxes of old zines and comics. I have made some progress, but it is tough when I look at these old things and they take me back to Toronto in the early 90s or Vancouver in 2001 or whatever. SPX with

me neither. Nor APE nor TCAF . . . I'm sucky at convention attendance.

They can be hella fun, but they ain't the only thing in the comics community. Don't feel too bad about missing 'em.
