:unders: I forgot to wear green today.
:rainbow: Happy pre-St. Patrick's Day!
 I don't have any plans, and Manien is working all weekend.

Last night on my way home from work I came upon a woman on a handicapped-scooter (is there any concise term to relate that idea?) that had broken down. She had a flat tire, and her cell phone was dead. Since I didn't have a cell either, and no car or anything that could help move her, I ended up running back and forth to my house trying to contact her son or brother to come help her. It took an hour and a half or so but eventually someone came. So I was a good samaritan, but not a very effective or efficient one.

:book: I am reading a modern day fantasy novel set in Russia called "The Veil of Gold" and it is pretty enjoyable. I had been slightly annoyed by the slightly whiny fearful male character until this morning I realized that the setup is in some ways the reverse of the traditional fairy tale type setup where the brave and focused prince is saving the damsel in distress. He is a dude in distress being kept from failure by a focused female.

:qotd: St. Patrick Plans? Fridates? Weekend looking good?

:jto: Oh! I thought it was Vespa like scooter with a flat. But good job helping someone out, lots of karma for you!

:skull: Cold is getting better. Yay.

:rainbow: :ipod: I saw Spirit of the West was playing the Commodore Ballroom on St. Patty's Day, but decided that band at that venue on that day would not be the funnest time for my shaking-my-broom-at-the-kids-on-my lawn self.

:qotd: What else? The hunt continues, but I'm feeling good about this current search area. We'll see what pops up.

:qotd: Need a little fun in our lives this weekend. Maybe a movie, or a stroll through a park. Perhaps a museum.

Steph once said she saw a group of lads driving those old-people-scooters, and they had beers in the shopping baskets at the front. They must have hired them for a stag do. I bet it was fun.

Hello :cc: it's me.

The house is in turmoil, we're moving next week. Why do I own so many books? and records? I don't ever listen to them.

Hi Joe! Good luck with the move!

:jto: Being a good Samaritan does not always lend itself to efficiency. Be proud you helped someone.

:qotd: Party congress in Göteborg all weekend. Discussions and stuff. Clearly I was not paying as much attention as I should have been, because the notebook I brought along for notes is instead filled with attempts at hand lettering. They didn't come out all that bad, but still - that wasn't what I was there for.

Hi Joe!

Last week there was discussion of the possibility of moving in my household. One part of me would have loved to move, but another part is relieved that we don't have to go through all the stress and hassle of selling, buying, packing, moving and so on (see also: :scott_r: :jcm: )
