I forgot to wear green today.

Happy pre-St. Patrick's Day!

I don't have any plans, and Manien is working all weekend.
Last night on my way home from work I came upon a woman on a handicapped-scooter (is there any concise term to relate that idea?) that had broken down. She had a flat tire, and her cell phone was dead. Since I didn't have a cell either, and no car or anything that could help move her, I ended up running back and forth to my house trying to contact her son or brother to come help her. It took an hour and a half or so but eventually someone came. So I was a good samaritan, but not a very effective or efficient one.

I am reading a modern day fantasy novel set in Russia called "The Veil of Gold" and it is pretty enjoyable. I had been slightly annoyed by the slightly whiny fearful male character until this morning I realized that the setup is in some ways the reverse of the traditional fairy tale type setup where the brave and focused prince is saving the damsel in distress. He is a dude in distress being kept from failure by a focused female.

St. Patrick Plans? Fridates? Weekend looking good?
