:skull: Hey! It's Halloween! I only saw one sexy costume while driving to :totem1: . Who wears a sexy costume to work? In Langley no less!? A cougarish looking lady no less? I think I just answered my own question.

:totem1: Just another day. Except I get a review today? Will I be deemed awesome?

:jto: I hope Mega J (sorry!) wins all the costume contests at your :totem1: today!

:rainbow: I hope the weather holds for all the kiddies tonight!

:ipod: My Dad is watching the Rocky Horror Picture Show for the first time ever tonight. I'm looking forward to his reaction! My Dad is not one anything that isn't less than mainstream lowest common denominator media.

Megaj

Yeah, it is hard to focus on the boring matters of :totem1: when the Halloween is in action. My team of superheroes here has come together pretty well. We have the Bedazzler, Choco-Lady, the Mighty Mustard Man, Super Sailor, Super Pet Specialist, Spiderella and the Tea Totaller. There is a department that has done Price is Right, apparently.

Saturday night I went out with some people to go to the Parade of Lost Souls, but had a  first and ended up missing the festivities. We did see Commercial Drive teeming with costumed folks though, so that was good. And then hit a party and had an enjoyable evening.

This surprise winter storm that has much of the area without power (and heat) has dampened Halloween spirits a bit. It's definitely coat, hat, gloves, boots, weather, but who wants to trick or treat in all that stuff?

:rainbow: That is crazy, that snow! Reminds me of one year as a lad in Manitoba when there was a blizzard on Halloween, with a good six inches or more of snow. And me in my bullfighter costume with just short pants and tall socks to keep my legs warm!

:qotd: Memorable Halloweens?

:qotd: In my early 20's some friends and I were letting off some fireworks/firecrackers. Some kids had gathered to watch our antics, but they were standing about 20ft away up hill. I lit a Screecheroo (6" tube that spits sparks and screeches - it has a plastic spike you're supposed to anchor into the ground with but no one does because it flies around if you don't) that was pointed downhill. Once it took off it launched itself downhill, spun around a bit (like it's supposed to) then launched itself back uphill, past us and pegged a kid in the chest! He was more shocked than anything, but some parents yelled at us and stuff.

Oh! Another year I dressed as Sailor Venus (that same group of friends were the rest of the Sailor Scouts) and went to a midnight showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Everyone should see a theatrical showing of RHPS in costume at least once in their life.

I dressed as an astronaut once and my space helmet was an old football helmet covered in tinfoil. I did have a space suit my Mom sewed for me though.

:qotd: I think it was grade nine, just before some of the gang got too cool for D&D, and we were maybe too old to go trick or treating, but the boys all dressed up as a D&D adventuring party. A last hurrah. In my memory it sort of melds together with the Halloween episode of Freaks and Geeks.

:skull: The Price is Right beat us out for best group costume. They were pretty extreme, building Plinko, Cliffhanger and Punch... a Prize? And the dollar wheel. It was nuts!
:skull: :skull: but on the other hand who won for best individual costume? ---------> :jto:
