Had a strange neither here nor there weekend. Manien was sick and so she was mostly needing to lay low, but there was a birthday to go to Saturday.

:drawing: I went out to the comic jam Saturday. :ed: was off in NYC for a con, so I was sort of in charge. Which mostly meant that I supplied paper. I'm always surprised that more people don't bring their own paper. It isn't like it is fancy paper or anything.

:totem1: The managers are around this week, so it isn't as quiet as it was last week.

:pirate: Yesterday we watched Multiplicity, starring Michael Keaton. It was not very funny! They would throw in cheap slapstick to try to make it funnier I guess? But boy. Had to watch some News Radio afterwards, for actual laughing.

:drawing: That is strange how it happens, especially when someone took loose paper, popped open their book bag and brought out a big sketchbook to use as support. I always brought paper since I was often there before :ed: and would spread some about to get people drawing. I think I'll go to the November Jam, I've been missing the scene recently.

Went to a few open houses on the weekend. Mixed bag of places available. Some OK floorplans, some horrible ones, a moldy place, a noisy place etc. Went to one place, decent price but astronomical stata fees. I really wanted to meet the owners though. The living room had a nice couch and all the furniture was nice wood stuff from the 50's, but there was no TV in their house! Instead there were a few guitars and a packable Wurlitzer keyboard. Plus there were lots of travel books on their shelves. Seemed like my kind of people.

:skull: Guts are feeling a little gross today.

:totem1: AC in the server room (which I sit next to) died, so there's a lot of beeping from heat warnings going on right now.

Fixed my aunts Wii on the weekend, she takes care of her grandchildren, and one of them dropped the unit on it's face jamming the sync button. So a little bit of quality pry time with a screwdriver fixed that right up. Got a copy of Mario Party 8 as a thanks! (it was a extra)

My Dad's giving up his vinyl collection so I'm snagging the works and a turntable with a classic amp! Aw yeah. I feel like Rob from High Fidelity.

I love High Fidelity. The book and the movie. And it's like I don't care which is better, I just love both of them.

The people who owned my house before me had some pretty great style. I think that's a tiny bit responsible for me buying the house. A decision I regret now, but it's my own fault, not the stylish previous owners.

Why are you regretting it? Choosing that particular house? Or their style isn't meshing well with yours? Or they their style with them?

I don't think I've seen High Fidelity since it came out. That was an upswing period for John Cusack, wasn't it? (Checks) Ah yes, right after Being John Malcovich.

Oh, I regret it because of the housing crash, and owing $180,000 on a house that's currently on the market for $75,000 and STILL not getting any offers.
