Grey again, and the forecast is claiming that it may rain every day for the next week. Just as well, as my Mom is coming to visit starting this Saturday and if it was hot and sunny (like the last time she visited) she would start thinking this "Vancouver isn't hot" thing is a hoax!

I was listening to a classic mixed tape I made in 1995 this morning. It makes me very happy. It made me think "This is just about the best thing I ever did!"

I went to the art supply stuff for my and on a weekday afternoon, it was just me and the middle aged ladies.

Applying to Georgetown, I think - got me out of a fast-food minimum wage job, and put me on the track here. 2nd place: taking the job I have now so I could stay here.

I was talking to a director at a little art school inside an art museum about teaching a class or two there, and I was asking her what the school was like, and I almost said my standard "is it an old lady art school or a teenaged boy art school?" question I ask people about places to take workshops. Not a politic thing to say to the head of the school in question.

Having the courage and actually making the attempt to pick up my wife? I rarely feel good about what I've done. I guess I'm a kind of perfectionist, which is a bad combination with being lazy.
