I was supposed to meet up w/ a buddy an hour and a half ago. But I've got to borrow a car from someone. Which I set up, no problem -- just needed to run one errand, then you can have the car. But they took off to get a new watch battery two hours ago and haven't come back. Given this person's nature, I don't think they've gotten sidetracked or anything, I think they're just still trying to figure out where they could get a watch battery.

But I can't really gripe, right? If I wanted a car when I wanted a car, I should have rented one, not borrowed one from a family member.

I'm busy doing colors on a comic book project and it's being fairly fun. As usual, I am going overboard on the rendering. WTF is wrong w/ me? Airbrush and gradients are bad, right? So why can't I stop myself from laying them on?

I have been granted a half hour of peace or so from the two kids who are visiting (4 and 7). Been playing and this and that all day. I have been having a good time but a break is good I guess.

:book: Maybe I should take advantage of the time to finish reading Oryx and Crake instead of farting around on the internet. (it is Saturday, nothing is going on anyways)

:ipod: In the car we were listening to a cd that is to help kids learn French, and it had some kind of hilariously uptempo disco dance numbers that had me boogie-ing in the back seat, like "Techno des Animeaux"

haha, that is funny. My colouring is very much in the opposite direction. A friend of mine has lately been really into adding textures and using custom brushes and all this stuff to colour his drawings. I feel like I will never finish anything if I go down that path!

I've got a couple of those cd's myself . . . Can't remember their names off the top of my head, though.

Well, our current pipeline is somebody else does the basic flat colors, so I'm only the bells and whistles guy. Clang Clang TWEET!
